The Listeners’ Library started trading on 1 May, 1985, with audiobooks on cassette tape. It has watched the change from cassette to CD, the introduction of the Playaway MP3 format and now the move to downloads.
Of course, download services are incredibly convenient and the quality of the download is pristine.
We have noticed, however, there are those who still like to visit our library of audiobooks on CD and take out titles for car journeys, holidays, the daily commute and business travel.
Audiobooks also make great company during boring tasks, they have a calming effect during the night when sleep is elusive and they bring stories to life for those that struggle with print.
